OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAHerts Mind Network held its Annual General Meeting on 4th June at Watford Football Club. Over 100 people attended the meeting and the subsequent evening of entertainment.

Christine Walters received the Volunteer of the Year Award for her work as a Counsellor. Christine has been a much-valued volunteer for a number of years and previously worked as a Befriender. Fran Deschampsneufs, the organisation’s Chair and a volunteer of 17 years, also received an award in recognition of her work.


Jess Lievesley, Managing Director of Transformation at Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation University Trust gave a presentation about the future of commissioning and the Third Sector’s role in the future of services for people with mental ill-health. Neal White, Grounds Maintenance Supervisor for HMN’s Let’s Talk Grounds Maintenance social enterprise, spoke to the audience about his personal experience of mental illness. His full speech can be seen here.


Local band The Honeymooners played to finish the evening off, it was great to see so many people on the dance floor!

We were delighted that so many service users, carers, volunteers and commissioners were able to share the evening of fun, celebration and looking to the future. Thanks to all that attended.
